Olivia 5 months

olivia turned 5 months yesterday. She has remained sweet. She got one (sharp) teeth last week, and another appears to be on the way.

random photos

"on that glorious morning Mr. Hanson was drinking the ordinary coffee by the window, when a massive chunk of gold floated down the river by his and Mrs's house. ...unfortunaly... he had a stroke. She remained widow and until today, whenever water is un-iced, she starts the day with a swim around that chunk..."

the making of...

like said, is takes a lot of tries to get three kids smiling in one shot. Here's "the making of the official hirviniemi 's christmas pic 2006". it's made of a few of the pictures I took that night. Besides me fighting with lights, white balance, and framing, the three of them were fighting their moods, and the whole atmosphere is best interpreted by ted kirkpatric's K517 playing the background. (graciously, that was not in the background while taking the pics)

to ease my guilt of the pirate audios, go buy the cd. it's great.

christmas prep

a couple of photos of Christmas preparation around here. We also took our "official" christmas pic that I'll post whenever we'll have it mailed to the relatives first. (got to advance correctly here) However, I can tell that with the growing number of kids, it's been a expotentially growing pain to have all in one shot with decent gestures.

a few years ago sarita took four pictures of Joonatan of which we picked the best, when Benjamin joined the band I had to shoot a full roll (back in film days). Now I took like 40 and there was one single picture that had all them properly set, and (at least) nearly smiling. (now that I tell it, I do clearly see, that another thing that has changed through the years, is that now it's me shooting. maybe that's explaining a bit...)

fight aging

Benjamin turned three the 1st of dec. He had it rough. To begin with, he wanted to have only heffalump visiting, but mom and dad booked the week full. In the morning he run away from us singing happy birthday, refused to open the gifts, and on the first pic he protests against the tradition of blowing candles... but finally accepted the inevitable and ended up enjoying everything. Later in the week he had friends, grannies and relatives visiting.

Now he just has to rewrite the dreams of becoming as he grows up, because he reached the ultimate - Spiderman. Aleksi the cousin had a day's job to keep him down from the wall...

congratz Benjamin. Go for it!
