out by november mushrooms

It's been an extraordinary warm november around here, and one creature enjoys it the most - mushroom. Here's a set of those, as ugly as anything, relaxing in great colors in November moisture.

Here's a little closer looks.

down-to-earth sharing with illustrating graphics and music

Joonatan told his friend from upstairs about Jesus illustrating his point with this CD cover from mortification. Sarita heard him explain the friend how this CD is about Jesus, and although there's a skull, you can also see the cross that always conqueres the evil, because Jesus died on the cross. The 7-year-old friend replied "plaah, i'm not into that Jesus stuff, i like Lordi." Joonatan's answered straigtforwardly: "yep, I like Lordi too, and everybody can like whatever they happen to like (deep wisdom picked from momma) but i like this even better", and then he picked Audio Adrenaline's Underdog, set it in into the CD player and invited the neigbour for a dance with this.

after nearly four months of milky diet Olivia got the first taste of solid food. The first meal was a small spoonful of a bit of potato mixed into milk. She enjoyed it. The main food will continue to be Sarita's everfresh, but little by little that'll change.

Here's a couple of night shots of factories around Kotka.

online photos

I added a couple of sites to link list.

Strobist is a really inspiring site if you are in to off-camera-flash pictures. It's managed by a pro photographer who likes sharing things and seeing others benefit from it. Just click around lighting 101 to get going and on assignment to have a clue what's the difference the direction of the light makes.

Nightingales are publishing - besides the advertisements to join their tutorial courses - a great gallery of their photos. I especially like the colors in the well composed photos. I think the extraordinary colors are a lot resulting from a skillful Photoshop post-processing, but that's no discredit when the outcome looks great.

Vincent Laforet has extraordinary "aerials" that you can find by rolling over to "index" at down-left, then up to "perspectives" and a click on "aerials"

winter sports

Snow arrived this week and as the sky cleared we headed out for winter sports.

The shot three is here just to remind us of the days that'll never come back. Just try watching TV like that for a half an hour and I'll bet you'll end up with a headache in less than a minute. Feel free to drop a comment to post your record.

The shot four is a car light painted by Joonatan. The technique is very simple. Just lock yourselves up in a toilet, take photo with 20sec shutter and draw in the air with a flashlight or something similar. The brightness of the result depends on the cameras aperture.

The last picture works as a note that no flashlight on earth could possibly compare in brightness to a beaming three-month-old girl.
