Bible in the cell
I just installed BIBLE+ with finnish 33/38 on my nokia cell phone, and it seems to run nicely.
the requirements for running it are a phones with symbian 60 (perhaps etc) and some memory. I installed it on memorycard not to lose space from calendar etc.
It's completely free and the software can be found here. You can find many translations here, but the first glance tells me that all the copyrighted like NASB, NIV, TNIV (or whatever it was) are missing, likewise the recent finnish -92. But some worthwhile translations are available, like not-too-old Greek NA26/27 and UBS3. (if I recall correctly, they should be quite lately, although not quite the latest.) There are other ancient languages like hebrew etc that I know nothing of, but could think of being interesting to some.
The finnish bible 33/38, second latest in the "official" lineup can be found here.
Enjoy it if you can, and join me in amazement that they can squeeze the tightly written 1500 pages into on tiny cell phone in my pocket.
